Massage

At St Pancras Physiotherapy Clinic, we have a full team of massage therapists, offering slightly different profiles of massage and soft tissue work, so whether you need to relax after a difficult day at work, or are preparing for an event, you are in the right place! Choose from 90, 60, 45 or 30 minutes sessions.

Sports massage: A specialised massage, aimed at preparing the body for a sporting event, or aiding recovery afterwards. It can also be used on a specific area of tightness or soft tissue injury.

Deep tissue massage: This method works deeply into the tissues, releasing spasm, tightness and congestion.

Excellent for stiff necks and backs, deep tissue release will offload tired joints and leave the body feeling flushed and refreshed.

Holistic massage: This type of therapy looks at the body as a whole, and how tightness in one area may have impacted surrounding areas.

Deeply relaxing, a great way to ease stress in the body and in the mind.

Indian Head Massage: A seated massage, this technique with Genevieve, works from the shoulders in to the neck and up into the head. Using traditional Indian pressure points in and around the scalp, tension is released.

Good for headaches, stress, fatigue, neck and eye pain.

Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art and distinct massage form with Danila. It is a form of passive Yoga to develop flexibility, body alignment, inner organ massage, blood oxygenation and deep relaxation. Performed on the floor and fully clothed, deep pressure is applied; synchronised stretching movements enable the achievement of flexibility, the opening of joints and balancing of the muscles. Benefits include improved vitality and a sense of inner peace and quiet mind. Each treatment is tailor-made to the needs of the individual. It is effective as prevention as well as in treatment of many common ailments.

Danila Ciencia has been practising massage and Yoga since 2000. She began by qualifying in one of the most ancient forms of massage therapy: Thai Yoga massage. She then extended her practice to incorporate the more relaxing holistic therapy as well as deep tissue and pregnancy massage.
